Arnaud Quercy is a Parisian artist working across painting, music, and sculpture. His practice is grounded in Ideamorphism — the principle that a work of art does not carry meaning, but triggers it. Each piece is engineered to diffract differently through each person who encounters it.

About This Artwork

This acrylic painting translates D-flat octaves into visual form through chromesthetic mapping. Part of the Synesthetic Explorations collection, the work transforms piano studies and cycle of fifth mapping into color relationships. The piece explores how musical intervals can be made visible through systematic color correspondence.

Light gray tones dominate the composition, creating a pale foundation across the paper surface. Steel blue forms appear prominently throughout the work, with blue-violet areas providing substantial visual weight. Turquoise and sky blue elements create bright accents, while violet and silver tones add intermediate values. A vertical dark gray rectangle anchors the composition against the lighter background. The acrylic medium allows for clean color separation and precise geometric forms.

The work measures 21.0 × 30.0 cm on paper and weighs 0.1 kg. Created in France on November 23, 2025, it carries certificate of authenticity number 20251123-0101. The artist's signature appears at bottom right. This piece represents the 39th reflection in the Research on Harmony series, catalogued as AQC0925 under Arnaud Quercy Creations.
