Arnaud Quercy is a Parisian artist working across painting, music, and sculpture. His practice is grounded in Ideamorphism — the principle that a work of art does not carry meaning, but triggers it. Each piece is engineered to diffract differently through each person who encounters it.

About This Artwork

This work translates the F Minor triad into visual form through chromesthetic mapping, where musical pitches correspond to specific colors. Part of the Synesthetic Explorations collection, the painting explores how harmonic relationships in music can be expressed through color relationships on a painted surface.

Red-orange tones dominate the composition, appearing in salmon and firebrick shades that occupy substantial areas of the wood panel. Violet hues create contrast through dusty mauve tones, while dark brown and yellow-orange elements provide grounding. The acrylic paint creates clean color boundaries with geometric forms arranged in angular relationships. Three small accent colors appear as punctuation marks within the larger color areas.

The work measures 30 × 42 × 0.3 cm and weighs minimal due to its wood panel support. Created in 2024, this tenth variation demonstrates the artist's systematic approach to translating musical harmony into visual language. The piece carries certificate of authenticity number 20241201-0233 with the artist's signature applied to the surface.
