Arnaud Quercy is a Parisian artist working across painting, music, and sculpture. His practice is grounded in Ideamorphism — the principle that a work of art does not carry meaning, but triggers it. Each piece is engineered to diffract differently through each person who encounters it.
He creates and exhibits at Art Quam Anima, his gallery-atelier at 28 rue du Dragon, Saint-Germain-des-Prés, Paris.
About This Artwork
F Major translates a piano étude directly into acrylic color. The work maps the F Major triad — F1, F2, C3, A3, F4 — onto a structured visual field, assigning each note a specific color range. The étude spans the full keyboard from F1 to F4, and the painting carries that range across the canvas surface. F Major belongs to the Harmonic Crossing collection, which organizes works around the chromatic translation of musical chords.
Large geometric blocks organize the surface into distinct color zones, each corresponding to a note in the triad. Blue-violet and grayish purple tones dominate the composition, filling the left and upper-right areas of the canvas. Red and deep red-orange occupy a substantial central zone, anchoring the warm register of the palette. Yellow-orange and muted orange tones spread across the lower portions and mid-ground. Dusty mauve and violet areas appear in the right-center field, connecting the warm and cool zones. Near-black fills a vertical strip at the far right edge. The forms are hard-edged, with one large circular arc in the upper right adding a curved break to the otherwise rectilinear structure. The paint surface is flat and even, applied in acrylic on linen canvas, with visible texture from the weave beneath the color fields.
The painting measures 55 × 46 × 2 cm and weighs 0.6 kg. It is painted in acrylic on linen canvas. The work was completed at the Rue du Dragon studio in Paris on 26 August 2026. It was exhibited at the Solabi Vare exhibition at Art Quam Anima, Paris, opening 30 May 2026. The certificate number is 20260829-0151. The work is currently available.
