Arnaud Quercy is a Parisian artist working across painting, music, and sculpture. His practice is grounded in Ideamorphism — the principle that a work of art does not carry meaning, but triggers it. Each piece is engineered to diffract differently through each person who encounters it.
He creates and exhibits at Art Quam Anima, his gallery-atelier at 28 rue du Dragon, Saint-Germain-des-Prés, Paris.
About This Artwork
Two o'clock, and you walk rue Saint-Dominique as it quiets after lunch. Grey settles beside gold, a purple block leans against a white square, and tan fills the soft hour — the old faubourg street letting its breath out, the rush gone, the warmth staying.
This is one of the 72 Facets of Paris, painted from the harmony of a piano waltz. Born of the chord G−7 — minor, tender, gently turning — it holds the dance still full and warm even as the street settles. Each of the seventy-two measures became a place at an hour; this one became the hush of an old street in the golden early afternoon.
Acrylic on paper, 18 × 13 cm, signed on the reverse. A quietly beautiful piece — the calm of a Paris afternoon distilled, perfect for a corner where you go to slow down.
