French artist exploring the intersection of music, color perception, and systematic visual translation.
About This Artwork
This work explores the visual translation of the Db Major chord through chromesthetic mapping. Part of the Synesthetic Explorations collection, it transforms piano studies and cycle of fifth mapping into color relationships. The piece investigates how musical harmony can be rendered as visual harmony through spread voicing techniques.
Red-orange tones dominate the composition, creating a warm foundation across the surface. Blue-violet areas appear throughout, providing substantial color presence alongside deep sky blue regions. Darker violet tones anchor the lower portions while lighter yellow-orange accents emerge in select areas. The acrylic medium on paper allows for smooth color transitions and precise tonal control.
The work measures twelve by eighteen centimeters and weighs approximately one-tenth of a kilogram. This is Variation 14 in the Research on Harmony series within the Synesthetic Explorations collection. The piece bears certificate of authenticity number 20251231-0133 and carries the artist's signature on the bottom right. Created in France and completed on December 31, 2025, it represents contemporary approaches to synesthetic art practice.
