Eb Major

About This Artwork

This work explores the visual translation of an Eb Major chord through chromesthetic mapping, part of the ongoing Synesthetic Explorations collection. The piece transforms a piano étude into color relationships, where each note corresponds to a specific hue based on the artist's synesthetic perception of sound.

Yellow-orange tones dominate the composition, with burlywood and wheat colors filling nearly half the surface area. Blue-violet sections appear throughout, creating substantial presence alongside gray and red-violet areas. Orange accents provide darker contrast points, while subtle violet, red-orange, yellow, and red touches create additional harmonic layers across the geometric forms.

The work measures 21.0 × 21.0 cm and weighs 0.1 kg, executed in acrylic on paper. Certificate of authenticity number 20251123-0109 accompanies the piece, with the artist's signature located bottom right. The compact square format allows the color relationships to interact within contained boundaries, emphasizing the harmonic structure of the underlying musical chord.
