About This Artwork

This work explores the visual translation of the Bb minor chord through chromesthetic mapping, part of the Synesthetic Explorations collection. The piece examines how musical harmony can be converted into color relationships, transforming the chord tones Bb, Db, and F into their corresponding visual equivalents through a systematic approach to synesthetic representation.

The composition centers on turquoise tones that dominate the upper areas, creating substantial presence alongside violet and mauve regions that occupy the central and lower portions. Orange-brown accents provide warmth throughout the geometric arrangement, while blue areas create contrast against the predominantly cool palette. Gray elements anchor the composition in the lower register, with white highlights appearing in the upper reaches of the color field.

The work measures 10.5 × 15.0 cm and weighs 0.1 kg, executed in acrylic on paper. This piece represents the ninth variation in the Research on Harmony series within the Synesthetic Explorations collection. The artist's signature appears at the bottom right, with certificate of authenticity number 20251123-0081 documenting its creation on November 23, 2025, in France.
