About This Artwork

This work translates the Bb minor triad into visual form through chromesthetic mapping, part of the ongoing Synesthetic Explorations collection. The composition explores how musical harmony manifests as color relationships, converting the chord tones Bb, Db, and F into their corresponding visual equivalents. The piece examines the spatial organization of harmonic intervals through geometric abstraction.

Blue tones dominate the composition, with medium turquoise filling the largest areas alongside deeper blue-violet sections. Red-violet hues appear throughout multiple zones, ranging from pale thistle to rich plum tones. A dark gray element anchors the lower portion, while cream and silver accents provide subtle contrast points. The colors organize into distinct geometric zones that intersect and overlap, creating depth through layered transparency.

The acrylic on paper measures 21.0 × 21.0 cm and weighs 0.1 kg, created on November 23, 2025. Certificate of authenticity number 20251123-0082 documents the work's provenance, with the artist's signature located at bottom right. This piece represents the tenth variation in the Research on Harmony series, exploring different voicings and interpretations of the same fundamental chord structure.
