Arnaud Quercy is a Parisian artist working across painting, music, and sculpture. His practice is grounded in Ideamorphism — the principle that a work of art does not carry meaning, but triggers it. Each piece is engineered to diffract differently through each person who encounters it.

About This Artwork

This work explores the visual translation of the E-flat minor chord through chromesthetic mapping, part of the Synesthetic Explorations collection. The composition presents the E-flat minor triad — Eb, F#, Bb — through its corresponding color relationships, creating a direct bridge between musical harmony and visual experience.

Violet tones dominate the composition, with darkslateblue and slateblue forms occupying central areas. Blue-violet passages in grayish purple create substantial presence throughout the surface, while yellow-green accents in mediumseagreen and darkseagreen provide contrast. Black areas anchor the lower register, with small white highlights creating brightness points. The acrylic medium allows clean color separations while maintaining subtle transitions between adjacent forms.

The work measures 10.0 × 15.0 cm on paper, with certificate of authenticity number 20240615-0126. The artist's signature appears bottom right. Created in 2024, this piece demonstrates the systematic approach to translating musical structures into visual form through established chromesthetic relationships.
