Quercy translates a Db Major triad into its chromesthetic equivalent, exploring how musical harmony appears through synesthetic perception. Part of the Synesthetic Explorations collection, this work examines the relationship between specific chord structures and their corresponding color manifestations.
Red-orange tones dominate the composition, with darkslategray and indianred forms creating the primary visual structure. Red families appear throughout substantial areas, while a single blue-green accent provides contrast in the upper portion. The geometric forms layer and intersect, creating depth through overlapping translucent shapes that mirror the harmonic intervals of the original chord.
