Arnaud Quercy is a Parisian artist working across painting, music, and sculpture. His practice is grounded in Ideamorphism — the principle that a work of art does not carry meaning, but triggers it. Each piece is engineered to diffract differently through each person who encounters it.

About This Artwork

This work explores the visual translation of a C# minor chord through chromesthetic mapping. Part of the Synesthetic Explorations collection, the piece translates musical harmony into color relationships, converting the theoretical structure of the minor triad into tangible visual form.

Blue-violet tones dominate the composition, appearing as the primary harmonic foundation alongside substantial areas of yellow-orange that create vibrant contrast. Blue areas provide additional harmonic support while green tones add textural complexity. Yellow-green elements create transitional passages between the major color zones. Dark brown and black sections establish structural divisions and visual anchors throughout the surface. A pale yellow accent appears as a bright highlight, adding luminous punctuation to the overall harmonic arrangement.

The work measures 10.0 × 15.0 cm and weighs minimal as acrylic on paper. Created in 2024, it carries certificate of authenticity number 20240615-0120 with the artist's signature located at bottom right. The piece represents a compact study in harmonic visualization, translating the specific intervallic relationships of the C# minor chord into corresponding color relationships through the artist's chromesthetic system.
