Arnaud Quercy is a Parisian artist working across painting, music, and sculpture. His practice is grounded in Ideamorphism — the principle that a work of art does not carry meaning, but triggers it. Each piece is engineered to diffract differently through each person who encounters it.
He creates and exhibits at Art Quam Anima, his gallery-atelier at 28 rue du Dragon, Saint-Germain-des-Prés, Paris.
About This Artwork
Slip into the Village Royal off rue Royale at nine, a discreet passage where restaurants set their tables and the night grows intimate. Lavender drifts soft over a grey arc; red and ochre warm the stone; purple and blue deepen the hush. This is the secret luxury of Paris — a hidden courtyard at the dinner hour, candlelit and unhurried.
This is one of the 72 Facets of Paris, born of a piano waltz of the same name, each of its seventy-two measures the harmony of a Parisian place at a given hour. Here the chords are F−7 and B♭7 — tender and warm — and the waltz turns slow in the evening, lingering in this quiet passage tucked between the grand façades.
Acrylic on paper, 18 × 13 cm, signed on the reverse. A confiding, intimate original that holds a hidden Paris few ever find — the kind of secret you keep close and treasure.
