Arnaud Quercy is a Parisian artist working across painting, music, and sculpture. His practice is grounded in Ideamorphism — the principle that a work of art does not carry meaning, but triggers it. Each piece is engineered to diffract differently through each person who encounters it.

About This Artwork

Nine in the morning, and the Panthéon rises before you — the great public dome of the hill. An orange block stands monumental against blue; magenta and green animate the air while a white square cuts clean against deep shadow. The square is broad and quiet, the dome catching full morning light, the weight of the place steadying everything around it.

This is one of the 72 Facets of Paris, a series born of a piano waltz of the same name. Each measure became a Parisian place at an hour, painted into colour through the artist's ideamorphic method. From the chord E♭7♯11 this facet draws the grandeur of the Panthéon at nine — monumental and full of morning, the waltz at its proudest moment.

Acrylic on paper, 18 × 13 cm, signed on the reverse. A monument distilled to colour and form — a centrepiece for anyone who loves the gravity of Paris.
