Arnaud Quercy is a Parisian artist working across painting, music, and sculpture. His practice is grounded in Ideamorphism — the principle that a work of art does not carry meaning, but triggers it. Each piece is engineered to diffract differently through each person who encounters it.
He creates and exhibits at Art Quam Anima, his gallery-atelier at 28 rue du Dragon, Saint-Germain-des-Prés, Paris.
About This Artwork
This work explores the visual translation of F Major harmonic relationships through chromesthetic mapping, part of the Synesthetic Explorations collection. The composition investigates how piano chord structures manifest as color arrangements, converting musical intervals into spatial relationships. The piece examines the F Major triad through spread voicing across multiple octaves.
Yellow-orange tones dominate the composition, with warm sandy browns and golden hues occupying substantial areas throughout the surface. Light pink regions create significant presence alongside deeper red-orange accents that appear in concentrated zones. Dark brown areas anchor the lower portions while bright coral tones provide rhythmic punctuation. A small white accent appears as the highest register note, creating luminous contrast against the warm palette.
The work measures 10.5 × 15.0 cm on paper and weighs 0.1 kg, executed in acrylic with precise geometric divisions. This piece represents Variation 10 within the Research on Harmony series, created in France on November 23, 2025. The composition bears certificate number 20251123-0111 with the artist's signature located at bottom right. The chromesthetic system translates the resolved voicing C3, A4, C5, A5, A6, A7 into corresponding color families, achieving complete harmonic correspondence through octave adjustments.
