About This Artwork

This watercolor explores the visual representation of G minor harmony through chromesthetic mapping. Part of the Synesthetic Explorations collection, the work translates musical chord structures into color relationships, examining how harmonic intervals appear as visual forms. The piece investigates the correspondence between auditory and visual perception through systematic color application.

Orange tones dominate the composition, appearing across most of the surface in variations from deep chocolate to lighter sandybrown. These warm colors represent the D notes that anchor the harmonic structure. Small accent areas of dusty mauve in red-violet and violet families provide contrast, corresponding to the Bb component of the minor triad. The geometric forms organize these color relationships into distinct zones, with a large semicircular area, rectangular elements, and a circular form creating spatial divisions that mirror the chord's harmonic intervals.

The work measures 10 × 15 cm and weighs minimal amounts on wood panel support. This compact format concentrates the chromesthetic translation into an intimate scale. The piece carries certificate number 20250125-0060 and bears the artist's signature at bottom right. Created in France in 2025, the work represents the tenth variation in this systematic exploration of G minor harmony through watercolor techniques.
