About This Artwork

This work explores the visual translation of musical harmony through chromesthetic perception, where the C Minor triad becomes a study in color relationships. Part of the Synesthetic Explorations collection, the piece investigates how musical intervals can manifest as spatial and chromatic arrangements on paper.

Warm orange tones dominate the composition, with burlywood occupying the central areas and lighter tan creating substantial presence in the upper register. The geometric forms include a suspended circle, vertical rectangular elements, and angular shapes that create visual tension across the surface. Black linear elements define the boundaries and intersections, organizing the color areas into a structured yet fluid arrangement. The watercolor technique allows colors to blend at edges while maintaining distinct geometric zones.

The work measures 14.8 × 21.0 cm on paper, signed bottom right, with certificate of authenticity number 20250125-0015. Created in France in 2025, this piece represents the eighth variation in the artist's ongoing research into harmonic color relationships. The compact format concentrates the chromesthetic translation into an intimate study that reveals the visual potential of musical structure.
