Les Portes du Dragon - Portes ouvertes de la galerie-atelier Art Quam Anima
From Friday 2 to Sunday 4 October 2026, from 11am to 8pm, the Art Quam Anima gallery-atelier takes part in the Journées Nationales des Artistes, organised by La Maison des Artistes. Three days of open doors at 28 rue du Dragon, in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, in a living space where the artist works in the presence of visitors.
Arnaud Quercy shows his paintings, sculptures and ceramics. Painting that begins with a chord played at the piano, sculpted form, fired clay, writing and research: a body of work that moves between media under the name of ideamorphism — the way a work sets off meaning in the person who receives it. The link between music and colour is its most visible axis, not the only one.
He invites Caroline Lopez, who shares the space for all three days. An interior architect, she draws what others pass through without necessarily seeing it — the rooftops of Paris, the cliffs of Normandy, the chairs of the Jardin du Luxembourg. She shows a set of medium and small formats, along with her artist's books.
Programme
The gallery is open continuously from 11am to 8pm: come in at any time, without booking, to see the work and meet the artists. Both artists are there throughout the three days, and they work on site: between the events, you can watch them paint and draw live, and talk with them while they work. Two events mark each day.

The Events
The rest of the time, the gallery-atelier is simply a working studio: Arnaud Quercy and Caroline Lopez are present from opening to closing, painting and drawing on site, and happy to talk about the work in progress.
Artist's books — presentation by Caroline Lopez (20 min)
Friday and Saturday at 12pm, Sunday at 2pm. The artist presents her handmade books: a moment to handle them and talk about how they are made.
Piano & painting: ideamorphism live (20 min)
Every day at 6pm. Arnaud Quercy plays jazz harmonic progressions at the piano and shows, on a selection of paintings, what those chords become in colour — including what his colour blindness changes in the way he checks them. Followed by drinks at the entrance — prosecco and fruit juice.
"Paint the Music" workshop (2 h)
Sunday 4 October, 11am–1pm. Painting from listening, guided by Arnaud Quercy. No prior experience needed, materials provided. 12 participants maximum, €70 per person, booking required — the only event that requires registration.
Practical Information
Art Quam Anima gallery-atelier, 28 rue du Dragon, 75006 Paris (Saint-Germain-des-Prés). Open Friday 2, Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 October 2026, continuously from 11am to 8pm. Free entry, no booking, except for the Sunday workshop. A few minutes on foot from Saint-Germain-des-Prés (line 4) and Sèvres-Babylone (lines 10 and 12) metro stations.
