Arnaud Quercy is a Parisian artist working across painting, music, and sculpture. His practice is grounded in Ideamorphism — the principle that a work of art does not carry meaning, but triggers it. Each piece is engineered to diffract differently through each person who encounters it.

About This Artwork

Seven o'clock on the avenue de Villiers, and a brasserie is lighting up for dinner. Teal and green deepen, purple gathers beside a clean white arc, olive and magenta glow from within — the warm promise of a table, a carafe, conversation about to begin. You can feel the evening turning generous, the city ready to be enjoyed.

This is one of the 72 Facets of Paris, a series born of a piano waltz of the same name, each measure a place at an hour. This facet rises from the chord G♭7, the moment the dance softens into dusk — rich, inviting, full of appetite for the night ahead.

Acrylic on paper, 18 × 13 cm, signed on the reverse. A warm, characterful piece that captures the glow of a Paris brasserie at dinner — and holds its own tessera in an abstract portrait of the whole city.
