About This Artwork

This work translates a G minor piano étude into visual form within the Synesthetic Explorations collection. The piece maps the specific voicing G1, G3, Bb3, D4, Bb4, D5, G5 through color relationships inspired by piano studies and cycle of fifth mapping. Each note corresponds to a distinct color family, creating a chromesthetic representation of harmonic structure.

Orange tones dominate the composition, appearing in warm salmon and peru shades that correspond to the D notes in the fourth and fifth octaves. Violet areas create substantial presence through dusty mauve and deep black regions, representing the Bb notes across multiple octaves. Silver and red-orange accents complete the harmonic palette, with russet providing a focused accent point. The acrylic medium on paper allows for clean color separation while maintaining subtle transitions between adjacent tonal areas.

This compact work measures 21.0 × 30.0 cm and weighs 0.1 kg on paper support. The piece belongs to Variation 16 within the research series, carrying certificate of authenticity number 20260305-0015. The work bears the artist's signature and represents contemporary exploration of synesthetic perception through systematic color-to-pitch correspondence.
