French artist exploring the intersection of music, color perception, and systematic visual translation.

About This Artwork

Burnout investigates spatial tension through overlapping geometric forms within the Research on Tensions collection. The work explores how rectangles, circles, and radiating lines create unstable relationships across the composition. Quercy examines the precarious balance between geometric elements and their capacity to generate visual stress.

The monochromatic charcoal medium creates a range of grayscale tones from deep blacks to subtle grays. Overlapping rectangles intersect with circular forms while radiating lines extend outward from central points. The charcoal technique allows for both sharp geometric edges and softer tonal transitions. Areas of dense application contrast with lighter passages where the paper surface shows through.

The drawing measures twenty-one by twenty-nine and a half centimeters on paper support. Part of the Research on Tensions collection, this contemporary work originates from France in 2024. The artist's signature appears on the front right of the composition. Certificate of authenticity number 20240505-0070 accompanies the work, catalogued as AQC0574 within Arnaud Quercy Creations.
