Arnaud Quercy is a Parisian artist working across painting, music, and sculpture. His practice is grounded in Ideamorphism — the principle that a work of art does not carry meaning, but triggers it. Each piece is engineered to diffract differently through each person who encounters it.
He creates and exhibits at Art Quam Anima, his gallery-atelier at 28 rue du Dragon, Saint-Germain-des-Prés, Paris.
About This Artwork
Wander the rue de Naples in the quartier de l'Europe at twenty past nine, where the night settles and the streets near Saint-Lazare fall quiet. Blue and purple deepen into dusk; lavender softens the air; a green half-disc rises and a grey circle rests below — the calm of a residential evening as the city exhales. This is Paris after the rush, tender and still.
This is one of the 72 Facets of Paris, born of a piano waltz of the same name, each of its seventy-two measures the harmony of a Parisian place at a given hour. Here the chord is E♭−7 — pensive and warm — and as night falls the dance draws toward its close, circling back toward the prelude, slow and reflective.
Acrylic on paper, 18 × 13 cm, signed on the reverse. A serene, contemplative original that brings the hush of a Parisian evening street into your home — a gentle, lasting calm to live with.
