Arnaud Quercy is a Parisian artist working across painting, music, and sculpture. His practice is grounded in Ideamorphism — the principle that a work of art does not carry meaning, but triggers it. Each piece is engineered to diffract differently through each person who encounters it.
He creates and exhibits at Art Quam Anima, his gallery-atelier at 28 rue du Dragon, Saint-Germain-des-Prés, Paris.
About This Artwork
Come close to this small canvas and you are under the old arcades of the Palais-Royal, the Galerie de Valois at twenty past one. Teal and crimson interlock over blue and shadow, dense and warm; a single white square glows like a shop-light someone left burning long after closing. The colonnade stretches empty, and the night keeps one last secret lit.
This is one of the 72 Facets of Paris, each measure of a piano waltz painted into colour and form. Still within the prelude — played ad lib, free of the bar, soft and mysterious — it is born of the chord A−Maj7♭5, a glowing, half-lit harmony where warmth and shadow refuse to separate.
Acrylic on paper, 18 × 13 cm, signed on the reverse. Hang it and the Galerie de Valois leaves its light on, just for you.
