Art as much as soul.

Art Quam Anima opened in 2025 at 28 rue du Dragon, in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés.

A gallery, an open studio, a place for conversation. The idea: bring back the spirit of spaces where art is made, shown, and talked about — all under one roof. The name comes from the Latin: art as much as soul. A reminder that what matters isn't technique, credentials, or market value — but the life that passes through a work.

The gallery was founded by Arnaud Quercy. Parisian, born in 1968. Musician first — saxophone in Parisian jazz clubs in the late 80s. Then a twenty-year interlude in the corporate world: transformation, innovation, team leadership internationally. Another school — that of complex systems, of ideas that must translate into action.

Then back to music. Piano, composition, diploma from the Paris College of Music. Since 2016, performing with the Elements jazz trio and quartet.

Painting came alongside. Not as an answer, but as a quest. How an idea takes shape. How it travels. How it transforms as it passes from one mind to another. This is what runs through all the work — on canvas, in sculpture, in ceramics, in steel.

Art Quam Anima is the continuation of that research. But also a place to share it.
